The Connecticut Hospice Arts Program is holding a Healing Arts Day on Saturday August 25, from 10am to 4pm, in collaboration with Shoreline Arts Alliance and the Branford Art Center, and we would like to invite all to join us.
The day will feature a variety of expressive arts, music and art therapy, complementary therapies, performances and experiential workshops in collaboration with practitioners from Connecticut’s hospice communities, the Branford Arts Center, Shoreline Arts Alliance and Artspace, and is open to the public and professionals alike.
The Healing Arts Day, and all its activities, are free of charge. Our collective aims to bring awareness to the public of the benefits of arts therapies to not only the hospice community (patients and their families and caregivers), but all people at all stages of life.
There are still a couple of spots open for artists or art therapists to display, demonstrate, or collaborate with our artists and therapists. (There is no fee to participate). Those interested should contact Katherine Blossom, Arts Director at 203-315-7522.
